“Dance Voice can treat people of all ages, from all backgrounds, who are physically or emotionally in need”
Who can access Dance Movement Psychotherapy?
Dance Movement Psychotherapy is appropriate for the widest range of people no matter what their abilities, from wheel chair users through to those with a full range of mobility.
We work with groups and individuals at all life stages – e.g. older people living in sheltered accommodations, or in nursing homes, people with short and long term mental health needs, anxiety, depression, children and young people with behavioural problems, people in recovery from alcohol/substance misuse, eating disorders, young offenders, people with learning difficulties, autism, acquired brain injury, or patients receiving palliative care.
Dance Movement Psychotherapy can be a perfect arena for any individual or group who would like a creative space for self-exploration and self-expression. This includes psychotherapy students or professionals looking for self-development.
You can do things that you cannot do anywhere else, without being judged (client)
