NATIONAL CERTIFICATE IN DANCE MOVEMENT AND THE THERAPEUTIC PROCESS     20th September 2011 - 10th July 2012

DESCRIPTION:

This is a 36 week course over 3 terms, with the core curriculum delivered on Tuesdays (8.30am - 5.30pm) with a half day placement on site, Wednesday or Friday mornings 9am - 1pm.

An additional 8 hours per week is spent in self directed study, the key elements being: reading, research, process diary and field trips.

This award is the equivalent of two ‘A’ levels and can enable you to access higher education.

SCHEDULE:

Tuesday  20th September 2011 - Tuesday 10th July 2012 (Provisional Dates only)

OBJECTIVES:

Main areas of study are:

  •   Laban movement and dance
  •   related arts
  •  dance movement therapy theory and practice
  •  sign language and communication
  •  disability, social and medical
 

RESOURCES:

Comprehensive library and internet access.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

Evidence of ability to study at this level is established during the application process. Potential students are required to attend an interview with course tutors.

GRADING:

On-going assessment, written and practical assignments, student journals.

COURSE FEES:

£1,240.00   UK & EU students 

- update: July 2010 - This is now a self funding course and there are no concessions.

£3,240.00  Overseas (non EU) students
