Over 30 years experience of working in the fields of health, education and dance. Trained in physical education, physiotherapy, remedial gymnastics and dance and human movement – all based on Rudolph Laban’s movement principles. Her mainstream dance work has been teaching in primary, secondary (including special schools), further and higher education. She directed her own company, Bristol Contemporary Dance Company for 16 years.
Marie is a pioneer of Dance Movement Therapy, who has been recognised and honoured by the Association for Dance movement Therapy UK.

Name: Pam Fisher MA (Education)
Qualification: Senior Registered Dance Movement Therapist/Tutor
Pam is Director of Dance Voice and teaches on the Masters Programme.
|
Pam trained to teach ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap, folk, mime, free expressive and creative dance and worked with all ages from 2 upwards for over 20 years. She has directed and choreographed a variety of community theatre projects. She developed and directed a liturgical dance group for 15 years. Her education and therapy work includes projects with elderly people, youth, children’s groups and addiction recovery.

Linsey teaches on the Master Programme. |
Linsey completed her Post graduate diploma at Roehampton University qualifying as a Dance Movement Therapist and has also submitted her MA in Dance Movement Therapy.
Whilst working at Dance Voice Linsey has gained experience working with children, elderly, adults with learning difficulties, addiction recovery and mental health client groups.
Linsey is qualified in British Sign Language Stage 2.

Name: Vikki Jones.MA
Qualification: Senior Registered Dance Movement Therapist.

Vikki teaches on the Master Programme. |
Vikki completed her Masters Degree at Roehampton University qualifying as a Dance Movement Psychotherapist. Reseach case study completed on "A safe space where my body can talk" specifically aimed at those with learning disabilities.
Vikki also trained at the Laban Centre, London completing a Diploma in Dance Theatre and has worked on small choreography projects, performing with a variety of dance platforms.
Vikki has gained experience working with groups, from the elderly, specifically in dementia and Alzheimer's within hospitals and residential care homes. Eating discorders, mental health, addiction recovery, parent and toddlers, children and adolescents/adults with learning difficulties and has also worked in the context of schools and prisons.

Name: Elizabeth (Liz) Shaw BA (Hons)

Liz teaches on the National Certificate Programme

Liz supervises and is placement co-ordinator on the Masters Programme; she is tutor on the BTEC National Certificate course and is a member of the therapy team at Dance Voice.
Liz first volunteered with Marie Ware in 1981 and has been working at Dance Voice since mid-1994 supporting children and adults with a range of mental health and disability differences. She qualified as a Dance Movement Pyschotherapist at the University of Hertfordshire in 1997.
Liz has also offered Jungian-based personal development courses over many years in a spirituality centre Bristol, and considers dance an integrated means of prayer.

Name: Kate Marsh
Qualification:
NVQ3 in IT and Office Practice.
2nd Degree Black Belt Instructor in Tae Kwon Do.

Kate supports all aspects of Dance Voice from meeting and greeting clients and visitors, setting up and maintaining contracts, attending trustee meetings, keeping the accounts up to date and filling in where necessary.
Kate has a 40 year background in administration and accounting with companies in the public and private sector including banks, building contractors, engineering companies and charities and has worked with Dance Voice since October 2005.
Kate started learning Tae Kwon Do in 1995 and ran her own martial arts school in Keynsham for 6 years before "bad knees" forced retirement in 2008.

Name: Batel Magen-Wade
Qualification: Registered Dance Movement Psychotherapist
|
Batel Magen qualified as a Dance Movement Psychotherapist (DMP)in 2005 from Roehampton University. Since qualifying batel has been working as a DMP in a range of different settings and with a variety of client populations which include adolescent mental health, learning disabilties, young carers, children and more.
Alongside being a DMP Batel is also a trained contemporary dancer/choreographer and artistic director of an emerging successful contemporary dance company called Neshima Dance based in Bristol, which tours regionally.
She is also a lecturer on the BA Creative Therapies in Education course, Newport University and on the Creative Therapies in Education foundation course, City of Bristol College.
Batel is regularly invited to teach as a guest lecturer on a range of different courses as well as cintinuing to teach and practice contemporary dance.
